Cherry Studio
Add AI Nexus as a model provider in Cherry Studio and chat with models from the desktop client.
Cherry Studio is a desktop multi-model chat client with many built-in assistants. Once connected to AI Nexus through the OpenAI-compatible API, you can use any model on the model square that supports /v1/chat/completions.
Verification status
The settings on this page follow the tool's official documentation and have not been tested hands-on against AI Nexus. Labels may change between versions; follow what you actually see. Only two values matter: Base URL and API Key.
- Website: https://cherry-ai.com
- Download: https://cherry-ai.com/download
Setup
Copy an API key
Create and copy a key on the console's API Keys page; see API Keys.
Add a provider
Open Settings → Model Provider and click Add. Name the provider AI Nexus, set the provider type to OpenAI, and confirm.
Enter connection details
In the new provider, fill in:
- API Key:
sk-xxxxxxxx - API Host:
https://ai.myaiexp.com
Cherry Studio appends /v1/chat/completions automatically. Check the request URL preview under the field; it should read https://ai.myaiexp.com/v1/chat/completions.
Add models
Click Manage and add the models you need from the list (fetched from GET /v1/models), or enter a model ID from the model square manually. Click Check to verify the connection.
Start chatting
Go back to the chat view and switch to the new model at the top.
To see how much Cherry Studio is using, filter by key name in Usage Logs. Creating a dedicated key for Cherry Studio makes its usage easy to tell apart.
