CC Switch
Manage Claude Code and Codex provider configs with CC Switch and switch to AI Nexus in one click.
CC Switch is an open-source, cross-platform manager for AI CLIs. It lets you manage provider configs for Claude Code, Codex and other CLIs in one GUI and switch with a click, without editing environment variables or config files by hand.
Verification status
The settings on this page follow the tool's official documentation and have not been tested hands-on against AI Nexus. Labels may change between versions; follow what you actually see. The steps below add the provider manually.

Install
brew tap farion1231/ccswitch
brew install --cask cc-switchAdd AI Nexus as a provider
- Create and copy a key on the console's API Keys page. The same key works for both Claude Code and Codex.
- Open CC Switch, select the target app (Claude / Codex) at the top, click add provider and choose "Custom".
- Fill in the fields for the target app:
| Field | Claude Code | Codex |
|---|---|---|
| Name | AI Nexus | AI Nexus |
| API Key | sk-xxxxxxxx | sk-xxxxxxxx |
| Endpoint / Base URL | https://ai.myaiexp.com (no /v1) | https://ai.myaiexp.com/v1 |
| Main model | A model ID that supports /v1/messages, e.g. your-model-id | A model ID that supports /v1/responses, e.g. your-model-id |
Replace your-model-id in the table with a model ID from the model square that supports the matching endpoint (or call GET /v1/models).
- Save, click "Enable" on the provider in the list, and restart the CLI.
Pick models by endpoint
Claude Code calls /v1/messages, so pick a model that supports the Claude-native format; Codex calls /v1/responses, so pick a model that supports the Responses API. A model without the matching endpoint makes requests fail. The endpoints each model supports are listed on the model square.
Import from the console
You can also import from the console: in the API Keys list, open the Actions menu and choose "CC Switch": choose the app (Claude or Codex), confirm the name, fill in the main model as in the table above, and click "Open CC Switch" so the local app receives and creates the provider (Claude uses https://ai.myaiexp.com, Codex uses https://ai.myaiexp.com/v1). After importing, check the base URL and model in CC Switch.
For each CLI's own requirements, see Claude Code and Codex CLI.
Codex CLI
Point OpenAI's terminal coding agent Codex CLI at AI Nexus and call models through the Responses API.
Cursor
Use AI Nexus models in Cursor through the OpenAI-compatible API.
