Wallet
Check balance and usage, top up or redeem a code, convert quota to USD, understand billing, and what to do when your balance runs out.
The "Wallet" page in the console's left menu (https://ai.myaiexp.com/wallet) shows your account balance and total usage, and is where you top up and redeem codes.
Balance and usage
The top of the page shows:
- Current balance: how much your account has left (USD). The balance is shared by all of your API keys.
- Total usage: the total amount your account has spent.
- API requests: the total number of API requests your account has made.
Top up
The top-up area on the Wallet page lists the amounts and payment methods currently available; use whatever the page shows. Past top-ups are listed in the order history.
If the top-up area says online top-up is not enabled, use a redemption code or contact support.
Redeem a code
- Paste the code into the redemption code field.
- Click the redeem button and wait for the success message; your balance increases accordingly.
Each code can be used only once. If redemption fails, check that the code is complete and confirm with whoever issued it that it is still valid.
Quota conversion
The "quota" you see in some API responses is the platform's internal billing unit: 500,000 quota = 1 USD. The console shows amounts in USD by default; the key quota endpoint returns raw quota numbers, which you divide by 500000 to get USD.
Example: a key granted 2500000 quota has 5 USD.
How billing works
You are billed for the tokens each request actually uses: cost = input tokens × input price + output tokens × output price.
- Model prices are synced daily from each vendor's official public list price, in USD per 1M tokens.
- Output prices are usually higher than input prices.
- Input tokens served from the prompt cache are billed at the cache price (where the model supports it); see Prompt caching.
- The thinking output of thinking (reasoning) models counts as output tokens.
- The
usagefield in each response gives the token counts so you can check them yourself; the cost of every request is also in Usage Logs.
Current prices for every model are on the model square; these docs don't repeat them so they never go stale.
When your balance runs out
Requests are rejected; you never go into debt. See Troubleshooting for the error messages. There are two cases:
- The key's quota is used up: raise the key's quota on the "API Keys" page, or make it unlimited.
- The account balance is used up: top up or redeem a code on the Wallet page.
